5 reasons why the Church Lane building is a mindfulness hub

Hello! I’m Ana and I study Social Policy, Crime, and Criminal Justice at the University of York. The waiting period before coming to university could be both a time of excitement and curiosity, but also worries and stress. Thus, I just wanted to give you an insight into some of the facilities that you can enjoy while being on campus. My piece will focus mainly on the new eco-friendly building on Church Lane. I will mention why it was built, where you can find it and the opportunities it offers. I hope that my blog will give you more confidence that regardless of the difficulties that appear while moving away from home, York is indeed a nice and inclusive place to be!

What even is Social Policy?

A question thrown around a lot during Freshers’ week is “What do you study?”. It’s a nice, easy question to initiate a conversation as you get to know more people.
