This means total page views more than doubled compared to the three predecessor pages combined (5,320 vs. 2,341).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"596\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/communications\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2026\/01\/Careers-and-employability-Study-at-York-University-of-York-01-23-2026_01_18_PM-1024x596.png?resize=1024%2C596&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1301\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/communications\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2026\/01\/Careers-and-employability-Study-at-York-University-of-York-01-23-2026_01_18_PM.png?resize=1024%2C596&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/communications\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2026\/01\/Careers-and-employability-Study-at-York-University-of-York-01-23-2026_01_18_PM.png?resize=300%2C175&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/communications\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2026\/01\/Careers-and-employability-Study-at-York-University-of-York-01-23-2026_01_18_PM.png?resize=768%2C447&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/communications\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2026\/01\/Careers-and-employability-Study-at-York-University-of-York-01-23-2026_01_18_PM.png?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The careers page is structured around three layers of careers support: central careers services, course-specific support and specialist support for student groups.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ongoing web content projects<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HR web migration<\/strong>: Our primary focus remains the migration of the HR site from Dreamweaver to the Web CMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Major milestone:<\/strong> The sitemap exercise is almost complete, marking a massive step forward for the project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Automation:<\/strong> Our Digital team has built an impressive tool to automate parts of the migration process, saving significant manual effort.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Next steps:<\/strong> We have agreed on a high-level timeline and are arranging a briefing session with HR colleagues in February, followed by sitemap sign-off meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other projects in the mix<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.york.ac.uk\/it-services\/\"><strong>IT web rebuild<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong> Project complete! We\u2019ve shared the final report and close-out communications with IT Services. In total, we streamlined ~700 pages down by nearly 50% for a fresher, leaner, more user-focused web presence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Student support web pages:<\/strong> We\u2019re setting up stakeholder interviews with various teams to gather insights on improving the user experience for students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interdisciplinary centres:<\/strong> We&#8217;ve moved into the next stage of this project, holding a kick-off meeting with the Heads of Faculty Marketing and Recruitment. Next, we&#8217;ll collaborate with subject matter experts on factual amendments.
