There\u2019s no central scholarships office, so no central database of what\u2019s on offer to who. Most are administered and advertised by individual departments. It can take a bit of digging to find the details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building a scholarship template<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve been working on new content types for publishing scholarships online. There are lots of fields to fill in &#8211; they\u2019re not all compulsory, but the more you can complete the easier it will be for eligible students to find your scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Automated scholarship listings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholarships are full of details about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Which courses they apply to<\/li><li>How much they\u2019re worth<\/li><li>Who can apply<\/li><li>How to apply<\/li><li>When the deadline is<\/li><li>Etc\u2026<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Using a template means we can codify this as metadata, allowing us to effectively build a database populated by the same template that publishes the scholarship to the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means we can &#8211; for the first time &#8211; automate scholarship listings!
