Enter our new Web CMS training module: \u2018Creating content for the web\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s it all about?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Effective web content is about more than just a nice-looking page; there are lots of factors to consider. For example: Does the structure make sense? Can users find the information they\u2019re looking for easily? Is the page <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/marketing\/2019\/10\/03\/improving-the-accessibility-of-our-website\/\">accessible<\/a>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We cover all of this in the new module, providing tips on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Writing (style and tone, what not to include)<\/li><li>Layout and formatting (using headings, effective link text)<\/li><li>Images (selection, web optimisation and attribution)<\/li><li>Accessibility (why we need it, key things to consider)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The module will become part of the full training package we offer to new users, ensuring that everyone is equipped to create effective and compelling content for the University website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
