Library reopening buildings from Monday 27 July

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get the Library buildings ready for reopening, and we can now give you some more information about what is happening and when.

Our Library staff are back in small numbers to start making changes. Next week (Monday 13 July) we hope to launch our new Book Takeaway Service to give you access to some of our print materials again, and open the external book drop to make it easier for you to return books.

On Monday 27 July we’ll be able to welcome back students, academic staff and other library users to the Morrell, Fairhurst and Burton.

We’ve created a new webpage to give you as much detail as we have on the process of reopening our buildings. It covers the services we’ll offer, and the measures we’re putting in place to ensure everyone’s safety:

  1. This is great news. The library services have worked well throughout the lockdown.

Is there any information available about the projected opening dates for Kings Manor, York Minster and the Borthwick archive?
