{"id":1039,"date":"2022-03-01T11:31:49","date_gmt":"2022-03-01T11:31:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/research-student-community\/?p=1039"},"modified":"2022-03-03T15:06:19","modified_gmt":"2022-03-03T15:06:19","slug":"3-minute-thesis-2022-entries-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/research-student-community\/2022\/03\/01\/3-minute-thesis-2022-entries-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"3 Minute Thesis 2022 &#8211; Entries Now Open!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;re proud to announce that <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.york.ac.uk\/staff\/research\/training-forums\/research-excellence-training-team\/research-students\/3-minute-thesis\/\" target=\"_blank\">3 Minute Thesis<\/a> is returning to York for 2022!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open to current PhD students at the University of York, you&#8217;ll have just three minutes each to communicate the impact of&nbsp;your research to an audience made up of university staff, members of the general public, and industry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The 2022 3MT final at York will take place on 15th June<\/strong> <strong>2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications are open from 1st March &#8211; 5pm (BST) 1st April 2022 &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/Q2DML7JYLbSAbBeu8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apply here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before you apply, please ensure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You are a current University of York PhD student, and have passed your first Progression Meeting, but not yet completed your Viva<\/li><li>You are available from 5pm on 15th June 2022 to take part in the final<\/li><li>you are available on 25th April and 3rd or 4th May 2022 for training and review sessions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Find out what it takes to win and secure your place at the 3MT National Finals &#8211;&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.york.ac.uk\/research\/events\/three-minute-thesis\/\" target=\"_blank\">Learn more about our 2021 3MT winners<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Interested in applying for 3MT, but unsure where to start?
