{"id":1054,"date":"2022-03-08T10:36:45","date_gmt":"2022-03-08T10:36:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/research-student-community\/?p=1054"},"modified":"2022-03-08T10:36:47","modified_gmt":"2022-03-08T10:36:47","slug":"call-for-phd-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/research-student-community\/2022\/03\/08\/call-for-phd-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for PhD applications"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The University of York, CITY College, University of York Europe Campus and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/seerc.org\/new\/doctoral-programme\/why-study-at-seerc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South-East European Research Centre<\/a>\u00a0(SEERC) announce the opportunity for qualified candidates to read for a PhD Degree that combines high-quality UK studies and a unique research infrastructure in South-East Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PhD candidates will be enrolled at the University of York while being hosted and supported by SEERC&nbsp;<strong>at&nbsp;Thessaloniki&nbsp;<\/strong>for the duration of their&nbsp;studies. Successful degrees will be received from the University of York. Projects are offered in a broad range of areas including computer science, language and linguistic science, management and psychology studies and&nbsp;will be jointly supervised by academics at both SEERC and the University of York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A&nbsp;small number of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.seerc.org\/new\/doctoral-programme\/studentships\">fee waiver scholarships<\/a>&nbsp;will be available&nbsp;for successful full-time candidates. The fee waivers will be offered to applicants with outstanding academic records and the selection process is highly competitive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants for the programme must have an excellent academic record (normally a relevant Degree with Distinction).
