{"id":1431,"date":"2023-05-12T12:03:20","date_gmt":"2023-05-12T11:03:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/research-student-community\/?p=1431"},"modified":"2023-05-12T12:05:17","modified_gmt":"2023-05-12T11:05:17","slug":"bric-development-day-communicate-your-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.york.ac.uk\/research-student-community\/2023\/05\/12\/bric-development-day-communicate-your-research\/","title":{"rendered":"BRIC Development Day: Communicate Your Research"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our new interactive Development Day is for postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers who would like to come together in person to explore ways of effectively disseminating and communicating their work.&nbsp; The Development Day will be divided into three main sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How to prepare a presentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Getting published in peer-reviewed journals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public engagement of research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sessions can be attended separately but we encourage participation in all three, as this will provide opportunities to meet other researchers and to connect learning across the different topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Development Day is taking place on 19th July 2023, in CL\/A\/023x (Church Lane Building)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each 90-minute session will involve an introduction followed by a series of hands-on activities working with others to apply the learning material in a practical and engaging way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lunch and refreshments will be included.
