The British Library Doctoral Open Days are aimed at first-year PhD students to explain the practicalities of using the Library and accessing its resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To make the Open Days more easily accessible to PhD students nationally, the 2022 events series is largely delivered online.\u00a0The webinars take place every Wednesday afternoon between 12 January and 2 March 2022. The series will begin with a general introduction, followed by seven additional events exploring more specific collection areas and resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two practical on-site events will enable students to obtain their Reader Pass and meet fellow students and Library curators.\u00a0 Included in the days will be a tour of the St Pancras building and highlights of the Library\u2019s Collections. These events will be open to those who have attended at least one webinar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is strongly recommend that all PhD students attend the first module\u00a0Getting Started: Researching at the British Library\u00a0<\/em>on 12 January 2022. Students are then welcome to join as many of the other modules as they are interested in. All modules are free to attend.
