Are you interested in generating social impact through applied research ? Zinc<\/a> focus on developing scalable solutions to social problems and have a number of opportunities for researchers, including their Innovation Internships placements scheme which is expected to run from early May to early August. Applications are welcome from PGRs in any academic discipline whose funding arrangements include support for an industry placement<\/strong><\/em>, but applications are particularly welcome from Arts, Humanities and Social Science students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interns can apply either to work with a portfolio company (all of which are working on issues relating to mental health, healthy ageing\u00a0or the future of work), or to join Zinc’s central R&D team in supporting ventures in\u00a0the final phase of their current venture-builder mission to\u00a0improve the mental and emotional health of children and young people<\/a>. In either case, they will gain first-hand insight into and experience of what it takes to develop a research-led, mission-focused company from scratch, and to build \u201cscience-rich\u201d products and services to address complex social problems. Their work will be fast-paced and creative, but research-led and with a strong emphasis on building evidence-based products that respond to social\u00a0need.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
