I wanted to have an opportunity to gauge my own enjoyment of the industry. And also improve my prospects for employment post-graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How did you find the opportunity?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I found out about the opportunity through an email sent to everyone on my course by my tutors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tell us about your role?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As an EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) marketing intern, I assist two marketing directors who work across the territories. I send marketing materials to clients, including trailers, art work and merchandise. I am constantly in touch with broadcasters all over our territories to create new campaigns or promote returning TV shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is your typical day?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>My typical day begins at 9:30, where I will start up my work computer and load up development tools. Everyone on the team is involved in a morning meeting where we talk about what we did the previous day and what we hope to achieve that day. Then I begin working with the development tools to implement various designs I have been given. Throughout the day if I have any problems or issues I take some time to chat with my team members, asking for confirmation or advice on various aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are you getting out of your placement?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This placement has been a very valuable experience. I have learned so much about various tools and practices in a real industry environment and context. Having a chance to work with others, and gain experience on real projects has made me a better programmer, designer, team member and person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How has it influenced your future career options?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This experience has made me more self-assured and motivated. I now have a clearer idea of where I want to go with my further career plans.
