Hi there, I’m Sophie, a third-year student on the Theatre: Writing Directing and Performance course here at York! A question I asked of all the universities I considered was how they balance practical work and theory. One of the things I love the most about the structure of the course here at York is the way it builds and to become more independent and allow you more creative freedom as you progress and begin to specialise in your preferred areas. The Pre-1900s module in third is one of the most anticipated parts of the course and I’m super lucky to have opportunity to share with you my ‘week in the life’ post about my experience in production week as a co-director!
