Brand and Creative Services team round up

December and January are particularly busy months for our team as we wrap up some of the biggest annual projects of the year – all while still creating lots of other photos, videos and assets.

Here’s a closer look at just some of the many things we ticked off!

Video

  • A new video header is now live on the University’s refreshed /research landing page (working with the Research Communications team)
  • This new city tour video was produced with the International Marketing team in MRAO but we’re hoping it will have wide appeal for all prospective students and staff.

Photo

As well as video footage, we’ve also exported some stills from the drone footage which you can find in the brand platform. You can also find new photos of PPE, Arts and Creative Technologies, Liberal Arts and Architecture, as well as lots of photography from the January Graduation ceremonies.

We also held several days of photoshoots for the new edition of the prospectus Magazine (see below).

Print, publications and brand

Student recruitment

We’ve just finished working with MRAO on two huge student recruitment publications: the Undergraduate Course Listing and the Magazine, as well as a new stand for UCAS Fairs.

All three have a new, cohesive look-and-feel which was designed to bring to life our current recruitment campaign idea: ‘Find your…’ This was created in collaboration with MRAO and we just published a new playbook in the brand platform which covers both the verbal and visual aspects of the campaign.

Annual Report and Review

Two of our most complex annual publications went live at the end of the year.

The online Annual Review 2025 pulls together many University achievements and highlights in an engaging, visual format.

We also produced its companion publication, the Annual Report 2025 – with design by Design and Print Solutions.

Not quite ready to share, but watch this space for…

  • New branding (and a new name!) for our deep geothermal energy project
  • New campus flags and signage celebrating our brilliant community
  • Design work for the upcoming Post-Offer Visit Days including postcards, postcards and folders.
