On 1 February 2020, the University launched an updated Travel and Expenses Policy.
The updated policy is much shorter and simpler and designed to be more flexible in some areas, and more restrictive in others where we need to ensure we are compliant. The policy also reflects a set of principles – when booking travel, or incurring business-related expenses, we want people to ask themselves – ‘do I really need to travel’ and ‘is this value for money’? There are plans in place to make the expense claims process digital.
The policy is in line with the rules and regulations imposed by the research councils and funding bodies. Anyone needing to make a claim is advised to follow the Travel and Expenses Policy guidelines.
