Despite the many current challenges we are facing, much of our PhD work still has to go on. Journals need to be read, analysis has to be done and words have to be written.
This online discussion offers PhD students a chance to meet some fellow PGRs, ask questions about PhD life, work and expectations, and simply connect and make new friends in the PhD community.
Current PhD students and post-doctoral fellows will be on hand as a panel to share their experiences, offer tips and strategies for addressing challenges common to PhD journey.
They will offer tips and advice for how to maintain a healthy work-life balance, as well as how to succeed personally and professionally across the various stages of doctoral study.
There will also be plenty of time for you to ask questions!
Find more information and register your place on Skillsforge (Details of the session will be emailed to you a few days before).
(Please note that this workshop was formerly titled ‘How to Survive your PhD: Beyond the 1st Year’ but in light of the current climate and challenges, we have altered both the title and the scope of the session. While it was previously for 2nd-year students and beyond, it is now open to students at any stage of their PhD.)
