PhD in Times of Isolation
An independent initiative organised by PhD student Claudia Nader Jaime (TFTI).

For all PhD students in York, and with researchers, students and professionals elsewhere in the UK and internationally.
Workflow: Set objectives + work, break, repeat, lunch time and repeat.

Silent Zoom Writing Group (szwg)
An international group for postgraduates, academics, and professional authors to write together. Organised by Dr Sophie Weeks, Department of History.
When:
Weekdays
– 10.00-12.00 BST
– 15.00-17.00 BST
Participants join the meeting, share their goals in the chat, then do 2 sessions of 50 mins work followed by a 10 min break over 2 hours. At the end, they report back on progress – again in the chat. People drop in and out of sessions as it suits them, and video can be on or off.
