Covid-19‌ ‌PhD‌ ‌Scholarship‌ ‌Fund‌: Round 1 open

The York Graduate Research School (YGRS) is delighted to announce that the first round of the Covid-19 PhD Scholarship Fund (CPSF) is now open. This is a package of support for PhD researchers receiving their stipend via York, and for UK self-funded PhD researchers, who have been most impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Due to the effects of the pandemic, we know that for some researchers, even with adjustments and mitigation, it is not possible to complete your doctorate within your funding period or, for self-funded PhD researchers, during the period you originally planned for. The Covid-19‌ ‌PhD‌ ‌Scholarship‌ ‌Fund‌ allows postgraduate researchers to request up to three months of scholarship funding, either through an additional stipend payment or a partial fee waiver.

This first round targets researchers whose funding ends between 1 April and 31 July 2021. Later rounds in February, May and July will open to other postgraduate researchers.

New application guidance has been published on the York Graduate Research School web pages. Check this to confirm your eligibility and apply.

Application deadline: 6pm on Monday 25 January 2021
