Join us on Wednesday 11 January 2023 for a rollercoaster journey through a series of free short talks highlighting the breadth and depth of the fascinating research underway at York.
Topics this year range from feeding the world with crop waste and bugs, single-session phobia treatments for children, limitless clean energy production – and much more…
There are fifteen talks throughout the day, grouped in sessions with a live Q&A. You can attend a single session or all four – just book the tickets you need for the sessions you’d like.
PhD Research Spotlight competition
The ‘PhD Spotlight’ competition is an opportunity for all York postgraduate researchers from all disciplines to demonstrate the value of their research to non-specialist audiences.
Exhibition pieces will be available to browse in a research fair throughout the day, and during breaks in the programme PhD students will be on hand to talk you through their work.
A judging panel will award prizes for the best exhibition pieces during a drinks reception at the end of the day.
