Goodricke College is a great college that prides itself on its inclusive community and equal opportunities for all its students.
As part of this the college team, tutors and JCRC run various welfare and liberation events throughout the year.
Goodricke was the first college to move to Campus East, and consists of three courts surrounding the Nucleus which contains two of the best common rooms on campus for Goodricke students to freely use. The common rooms are used to host a variety of events such as free food events, sport team socials and much more. When there are not events being held in the common rooms they offer a variety of activities from table tennis, darts and TVs with video game consoles. Goodricke is also close by to Computer Science, Law and Management, and TFTV departments as well as the Ron Cooke Hub which offers a café and study spaces.
Goodricke is also only a short one-minute walk from The Glasshouse, the Campus East bar that we share with Langwith and Constantine Colleges. The location is only going to improve with the new retail development and Piazza Learning Centre opening next academic year offering convenient shops, study spaces and restaurants.
During the warmer months Goodricke becomes a vibrant place to live with frequent BBQ’s, Goodfest a free music festival organised by the JCRC to celebrate the end of exams and the academic year, and the field situated behind Goodricke is great for playing sports or just chilling out. These are just some of the reasons why Goodricke is a great college!
