I’m Zain. I’m a first year Interactive Media student and beyond loving it! I started off at The University of York as a Biomedical Sciences student (what?!) and although I really enjoyed it, I found that my passion for it was dying out. I was instead using most of my free time learning web development and helping my software engineer friend with design. So, I just went for it and decided to transfer courses; it proved to be one of my best decisions yet.
To help you imagine what life is like here, I’ve made a video showing you what a typical day looks like for me. I hope you enjoy it!
I’m interested in so many things, it can get overwhelming at times, but I always remind myself to stick to the projects I have at hand. Currently, I’m trying to sort out an end of year project, I’m working on the backend for the Interactive Media Showcase website, and the frontend for an event planner’s website, while attending to my coursework, and attempting to keep myself alive. It can get crazy sometimes, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
