Content design team round-up: March 2026

A short and sweet update to sum up what has been a packed couple of months since my last update in January.

HR web migration

A team of us migrated the HR web pages from Dreamweaver into the Web CMS in just six days! It was super satisfying and fun. It’s not live yet but will be soon…

Department and interdisciplinary centre web rebuilds

It’s also been a big month for department and centre web rebuilds.

The web rebuilds for the Department of Politics and the School of Philosophy, Politics and Economics went live on 2 March. Sam in the Faculty Spokes team did the legwork on these, and we supported with our usual facilitation and content oversight stages along the way to help get them over the line.

The department web rebuild project started back in 2022 when we worked with the three new schools, and we’ve been rolling out the framework to academic departments ever since. We’ve now completed 19 rebuilds, with just three left to do. It’s exciting to be close to the finish line.

We’re also working with the Faculty Spokes team and the Research Communications team on the web rebuilds for the Centre for Eighteenth Century Studies and the Centre for Medieval Studies. Earlier this month, I reviewed the content and information architecture plans for these ahead of build work starting. We’re looking forward to seeing these progress over the coming months.
