We will be running 2 careers events in May that may be of interest to research students:
Working in Research – Wed 5th May, 16.00 – 17.15
This event is designed to help you gain an insight into a range of research based career opportunities in academia, public sector, not for profit and commercial sectors. The event will help you understand how to develop your own career ambitions by connecting with, and learning from, research professionals in an informal setting.

NHS Digital: The Impact of Data on Healthcare During a Pandemic – Thur 6th May, 17.00-18.00
Sam Hollings, Data Wrangler at NHS Digital and a York PhD graduate, will be delivering this live event providing an insight into a career in data, how data has helped shape health care during a pandemic and its impact on patients’ lives. He will also allow time to answer your questions. Sam’s studies have included Physics, Biology and Maths so he can discuss issues about transferring skills from different disciplines into a career in data.
