HOW TO: Book study spaces

There are currently several hundred socially-distanced single study spaces available to book across the Library and other University buildings, the majority of which can be reserved via the Study Space Bookings Calendar. We know this is a busy time so we’re increasing the locations for individual study on an ongoing basis. Here’s what you need to know:

Book early

The most popular study locations are the Library, King’s Manor and Spring Lane Building – you can book spaces here three days in advance.

Usual spot fully booked?

If your usual spot is fully booked, don’t panic! We have opened up lots more locations on campus, including:

  • Piazza Building
  • Ron Cooke Hub
  • Physics building
  • locations in Biology, Derwent and Computer Science.

Group study

Now restrictions have eased you may also wish to book a private room or study in a group of up to six. There are a handful of rooms available for this via Room Bookings. ‘

If you don’t need your booked space anymore

As spaces are in high demand, it’s more important than ever that you sit in the seat you’ve booked, and leave at the alloted time – and don’t forget to cancel your booking (using the link in the confirmation email) if it turns out you don’t need it after all.
