We’ve created a new video resource: experienced York Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) sharing practical advice with newer GTAs. Academic Practice will use these videos to complement our existing GTA training resources for the Introduction to Teaching and Learning, and YLTA (The York Learning and Teaching Award).
If you’re a GTA, you can look through these to hear GTAs’ practical tips on teaching guidance covered in your training, including:
- Facilitating seminars
- Preparing for labs
- Marking
- Managing your time
and more.
The videos are on the GTA Community Site, in the ‘Teaching Guidance’ section’ (log into the VLE), and involve GTAs from a variety of disciplines.
