You might be aware that recruitment to the Civil Service Fast Stream was suspended earlier this year while the government looked at different options for reducing costs. Following some changes to the scheme they have announced that recruitment for 2023 will open in December. Policy roles in the Civil Service – Event
Our online Policy Panel event on 22nd Nov will provide an opportunity to find out what policy-making in the Civil Service involves, what policy roles are like and the different potential routes into policy. There will be an opportunity for Q&A and an interactive policy-making activity. The session will be presented by two Civil Service Fast Streamers currently working at the Department for Work and Pensions. Attendees will gain: an insight into how policy is made in the Civil Service; an understanding of what policy roles involve, including a day in the life of a policy advisor; information about different routes into working in policy; advice on applying to the Civil Service.
