“Don’t be afraid to dream”: Meet Rose, a YGRS scholar

The latest person to be featured in our ‘Humans of York’ series is Rose, a current recipient of the YGRS PhD Scholarship.

Read Rose’s story on the University Facebook page. She outlines her research and how the YGRS PhD Scholarship has helped her realise her dream.

The University of York is committed to redressing systemic inequalities and disadvantages experienced by Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff, postgraduate researchers (PGRs) and students. The York Graduate Research School (YGRS) is leading a region-wide project to help improve opportunities for under-represented postgraduate students, the Yorkshire Consortium for Equity in Doctoral Education (YCEDE).

What would you or someone you know do with a YGRS PhD scholarship? We’re now offering six six fully-funded PhD scholarships for UK candidates who self-identify as being from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background.
