York Learning and Teaching Award (YLTA)
We are pleased to announce that applications for the York Learning and Teaching Award (YLTA) are now open for entry in 2023/24. This is a part-time, taught course to support GTAs develop as university teachers, which also awards Associate Fellow of the HEA (AFHEA), that will run between end Sept 2023 – May 2024.
We will be running an applicant support event on campus on Thursday 9 March – sign up now.

York Academic and Professional Development (YPAD) Scheme
GTAs with more teaching experience who do not wish to complete a taught course might instead be interested in applying for professional recognition only, usually as an AFHEA, through this mentored scheme. Please see the YPAD web pages for details for the next cohort entry (to run between March- December 2023)
