About the Forum

The Emerging Researchers’ Forum (ERF) is an informal network for researchers (PhD, MRes, ECRs) to share experiences, offer peer-support and socialise with those at a similar level within the university.

The Forum aims to bridge the gap between PhDs and ECRs in providing a potential platform for short talks and discussions with peers in an unassuming and friendly setting, as well as plans for events around, stress management, project planning, work/life balance, careers etc. based on experience sharing.

About the event

For their next event on Thursday 8 June 2023. the ERF are hosting a peer discussion on tips and tricks to balancing the multiple commitments of teaching, research, conferences and more in your academic career.

This session may be particularly useful if you are a PhD researcher considering teaching next year! This event will be held in the Wentworth College Senior Common Room (w/135) from 6:00pm offering the opportunity to meet your fellow researchers at the university, share experiences and learn more from your colleagues.
