Social science and business: opportunities for research impact and career development

Have you been considering how business engagement can further your research? Or are you thinking about how you might progress your career in industry?

York ESRC IAA are hosting a session on Monday 16 March to discuss the numerous funding and capacity building opportunities, available to York social scientists, to enable more effective engagement and collaboration with business (such as Impact Acceleration Accounts, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, and internal training provision).

Hear from both researchers and business partners experienced in collaboration, about the benefits that this has brought to their work. This will be followed by a networking lunch, giving you the chance to share and discuss strategies and needs related to business engagement.

This session is primarily aimed at doctoral students and early career researchers in the social sciences, but is open to all. It has been timed to coincide with the launch of the ESRC NPIF Accelerating Business Collaboration funding, which will be discussed at the event.
