Centre for Lifelong Learning

Work with the Centre for Lifelong Learning

The Centre for Lifelong Learning provides a dynamic programme of over 300 adult evening and day courses which attract almost 3000 applications each year. Students come from a range of backgrounds, whether they are looking to gain University accreditation or learn on a non-accredited basis.

The Centre would welcome the opportunity to work with departments, in particular postgraduates, to develop new course ideas. In return they offer remuneration for teaching. You will also become part of the Centre’s peer support network and will be invited to staff development events. See the Centre for Lifelong Learning web pages for further information on the type of courses offered.

Due to the pandemic, teaching may be face-to-face or via Zoom, so tutors may need to be flexible in terms of delivery.

If you have any ideas and would like to work with the Centre please send your CV and course idea to hannah.lyus@york.ac.uk. The deadline for submitting your proposal and CV is Friday 30 April 2021.
