PhD virtual coffee and chats (on Zoom)
11am – 12pm
Wed 24 June 2020
If you just started your PhD in January 2020, we know that it must have been especially difficult for you that we went into lockdown only a few weeks into your programme.
We also know that the PhD can sometimes feel a bit lonely and we realise the reduced opportunities for social interaction may be proving hard for you to meet new people at the university right now.
So we’d like to help you connect with others in the postgraduate research community!
You’re invited to join a virtual coffee and catch-up session with other January starters! It’ll be a chance for you to meet PhD colleagues from other departments who would have also just joined York a few months ago.
Several other PhD students and post-doc researchers will also be on hand to share their PhD experiences, offer insights and tips for making the most of PhD life, and answer any questions you might have about doing a PhD in York.
Make yourself a big mug of something delicious, and we look forward to connecting with you!
