Updates to coronavirus guidance

COVID-19 Community Charter
We have established a COVID-19 Community Charter to outline how we can work together to keep each other safe. An extension of the Together York Community Declaration, the Charter demonstrates what staff and students can expect from the University, and what the University expects from all members of the community. Read the Charter.

Special Health and Safety VC webinar now available
On Monday 21 September, the Vice-Chancellor hosted a special COVID-safety briefing session to provide an update for staff on the preparations that we’ve been making for the start of term. See more information on the COVID-19 safety briefing blog post.

Face coverings updated policy
We have revised and extended our face covering policy. The use of face coverings is now mandated in all shared, indoor spaces. There are new updates in this guidance, including information on face coverings exemptions and where you can collect a sunflower lanyard.

NHS Test and Trace
The NHS Test and Trace app has launched. We encourage all staff and students to download and use the app. If you visit campus venues, you should use the app to scan the QR code. Download the NHS COVID-19 app
