Covid-19 PhD Scholarship Fund (CPSF) – Round 3 open

The third round of the Covid-19 PhD Scholarship Fund (CPSF) opened today and we’re pleased to announce that this is now available to self-funded international students.

Due to the effects of the pandemic, we know that for some researchers, even with adjustments and mitigation, it is not possible to complete your doctorate within your funding period or, for self-funded PhD researchers, during the period you originally planned for. In response to this, the Covid-19‌ ‌PhD‌ ‌Scholarship‌ ‌Fund‌ allows postgraduate researchers to request financial support.

Previously, the CPSF supported PhD researchers receiving their stipend via York and UK self-funded PhD researchers who have been most impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. We are now able to extend support to include international self-funded PhD researchers.

The type of scholarship available from the CPSF varies by original funding source.

Application guidance is on the York Graduate Research School web pages – check this to confirm your eligibility and apply. The application form is relatively short and we do not require any supporting evidence.

Application deadline: 6pm on Friday 23 April 2021
