Funded HM Government Policy Placements: Information Session, 3rd Feb 14:30-15:30

The University is providing funding for three PhD students to undertake a policy internship within the government’s Open Innovation Team (OIT).

The OIT is a cross-government unit that works with experts to generate analysis and ideas for policy. In addition to its growing team of permanent civil servants, we also have PhD placement students who work closely with us and help support the work we do on three-month placements. These students work alongside our permanent staff, helping input on policy projects and also contributing to team development.

At this event Dr Ben Taylor, one of the Deputy Heads of the team, will talk through what the placements have to offer to PhD students at the University of York, what the team is looking for, and will answer any questions prospective applicants might have.

The session will take place over Zoom. You can sign up and find out more information, including answers to frequently asked questions, via handshake.
