Last month we carried out our first remote usability testing. I was worried that it wouldn’t work as well as when we run them in person, but it turned out to be easier to organise, and just as much fun.

We’re reaching the end of our project to improve the accessibility of the CMS templates we use on the York website, and we’re pleased to report that we’ve made some significant progress.
Testing the usability of the undergraduate prospectus
Work to produce the 2021 undergraduate prospectus is well underway. This year, the prospectus team are considering some significant changes to the courses section, and wanted to test their initial thinking. As a user experience designer, that’s where I came in.

Many of you will be familiar with 404 page not found messages. They’re the incredibly frustrating pages you see when you’re trying to find something on the web, but it isn’t where you expected it to be.
