Improving the accessibility of our website

Our web content should be easy for everyone to access, but we need to be specifically mindful that we don’t exclude people with accessibility needs. 

While we’ve always tried to make the website work as well as possible for everyone, we’re conscious that it’s not as accessible as it should be, and new legislation has prompted us to make improving it a priority.

Out now: the 2020 postgraduate prospectus

The latest postgraduate prospectus is out now. It features this striking cover artwork by Phil Roberts from our Design team, a refreshed front section and a new structure for the subject pages.

Getting in the zone: aligning our online map with the campus signage

The concept of zones was introduced to campus last year, when new signage was put up that divided campus up into ten coloured areas. This was done as part of the University’s Wayfinding and Signage project.

Last month we launched an updated version of our online map, which now uses the same zone system and brings the two types of map closer together. We’ve hopefully made it much easier for staff, students and visitors to use the physical and digital maps together as they navigate around campus.
